Bûche de Noël Baking Workshop

Join us for a delightful hands-on workshop and learn how to make a raspberry and cream Yule log (gluten-free) on Thursday, December 4, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in the EPL Kitchen.

This immersive workshop will be led by Amara Yamamoto-Smith, a Cordon Bleu Paris graduate who is passionate about sharing her expertise in French pastry.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced baker, this workshop is accessible to all. Working in small groups, you'll follow step-by-step guidance—all in French—while practicing the language with the chef and the other participants.

We will provide all necessary ingredients, and each participant will leave with half of a Yule log they made themselves (don’t forget to bring a container!).

   Practical information :

• The kitchen is located on the 2nd floor of the Stanley A. Milner Library.
• Children aged 12 to 18 are welcome to participate with a parent or guardian.
• Doors will close 10 minutes after the scheduled start time to minimize disruptions.
• To reduce waste, please bring a container to take home any leftovers.

Participez à un atelier gourmand et apprenez à réaliser une bûche de Noël framboise et crème (sans gluten) le mercredi 4 décembre de 18h à 20h, dans la cuisine de la bibliothèque EPL.

Cet atelier immersif sera animé par Amara Yamamoto-Smith, diplômée du Cordon Bleu à Paris, qui partage avec passion son savoir-faire en pâtisserie française.

Que vous soyez débutant(e) ou confirmé(e), cet atelier est ouvert à tous ! Vous cuisinerez en petits groupes, en suivant les conseils du chef—le tout en français—pour pratiquer la langue dans un cadre convivial.

Nous fournirons tous les ingrédients nécessaires, et chaque participant repartira avec une demi-bûche réalisée durant l’atelier (n’oubliez pas d’apporter un contenant !).

    Infos pratiques

• La cuisine se situe au 2ème étage de la Bibliothèque Stanley A. Milner.
• Les enfants de 12 à 18 ans peuvent participer avec un parent ou un tuteur.
• Les portes seront fermées 10 minutes après l'heure de début pour minimiser les interruptions.
• Pour réduire le gaspillage, merci d’apporter un contenant pour emporter vos restes.
